Enjoy a relaxed and engaging 6-week online course covering the fundamentals of drawing and painting. Join us on Thursday mornings from 10 pm – 12 pm.

Each week will focus on a different theme, technique or medium and participants will be guided through a range of warm up exercises before moving on to a longer study that you can follow along step by step, with time for individual feedback. Classes will be recorded and sent to all participants so you can continue their creative journey at home!

You will be encouraged to have a playful and experimental approach to drawing and painting, exploring a range of methods and techniques and developing the one that works best for you!

Week 2: Charcoal Drawing

Week 3: Pen Drawing

Week 4: Line and Wash

Week 5: Watercolour Painting

Week 6: Watercolour Painting

Classes are held over zoom - the links will be sent out to everyone the day before the class.

No experience needed!

Ages 16+

Materials you will need:

-Graphite Pencils (a range between HB-9B is ideal but not essential)

-Willow charcoal

-Charcoal Pencil (optional)

-Eraser

-Sharpener

-Blending Stump (optional)

-Fineliner (waterproof if possible)

-Watercolour paints

-Paintbrushes (one flat and 2-3 round in a range of sizes from 4-14)

-x6 sheets A4 drawing paper

-x6 sheets A4 watercolour paper OR

x3 sheets heavyweight cartridge paper + x3 sheets watercolour paper
